Log In & PlayCricket Format Explained
To succeed in cricket betting, it helps to know the characteristics of each format. Betting markets also differ across formats.
T20
Just 20 overs per side, with matches finishing in about 3–3.5 hours. In this format, the six-hit, wicket-on-next-ball, and match-winner markets are the most popular. BPL and IPL are played in this format.
ODI (One-Day)
50 overs per side, typically a 7–8 hour game. This format is used in the ICC Cricket World Cup and T20 World Cup. Markets include innings total runs, top scorer, and man of the match.
Test
Cricket's longest format — played over up to five days. Each side bats twice. Draw results, innings outcomes, and session betting markets are unique to this format.
The Hundred
A new format popular in England — 100 balls per side. Matches finish in around 2.5 hours. The bowler changes every 10 balls in this format, which makes the betting markets more dynamic.
Major Cricket Leagues
BPL — Bangladesh Premier League, the domestic T20 tournament. IPL — Indian Premier League, the world's largest franchise T20 league. BBL — Big Bash League, Australia's top T20 competition. PSL — Pakistan Super League, a popular franchise tournament in South Asia. bak99 offers a variety of betting markets across all these leagues.

Local Card Games
Traditional card games from Bangladesh and South Asia are now available to play online. Each game is easy to learn, but takes time to master.
Teen Patti
A popular three-card game. Each round, players receive three cards and the one with the best hand wins. You can choose to play "Chalo" (seen) or "Andha" (blind).
Beginner's Tip: Practice with small bets at first.
Live DealerAndar Bahar
A joker card is placed in the middle and you bet on whether the next matching card will appear on the left side (Andar) or the right side (Bahar). Very simple but exciting.
Beginner's Tip: The odds are roughly 50-50, so stay patient.
Live DealerCallbreak
A four-player card game where you must declare in advance how many hands you will win each round. Spades are always trump. Callbreak is played against other players.
Beginner's Tip: Give extra value to spade cards when bidding.
MultiplayerLudo / Rummy
In Ludo, you roll the dice to bring your pieces home. In Rummy, you build card sequences and sets. Both games are played against other players.
Beginner's Tip: In Rummy, discard low-value cards first.

What Is a Betting Exchange?
In a regular sportsbook, you always bet against the house. In a betting exchange, players bet against each other — the platform simply sits in the middle and takes a small commission.
Back Bet: You think the team or player will win — this is a regular "for" bet.
Lay Bet: You think the team or player will lose — this is an "against" bet.
Example: You placed a ৳500 Back bet on Bangladesh Tigers to win at odds of 2.0. If they win, you get ৳1,000; if they lose, you only lose ৳500. If you had laid instead, you would win if Bangladesh lost.
| Feature | Back Bet | Lay Bet |
|---|---|---|
| Who You Are Supporting | The winning side | The losing side |
| Who Sets the Odds | Other players | You yourself |
| Winning Condition | Team/player wins | Team/player loses |
| Risk | Bet amount | Lay liability amount |
Regular Sportsbook vs Exchange
A regular bookmaker sets the odds themselves and keeps a house edge. In an exchange, odds move according to market demand — generally offering more competitive prices. Commission is taken only on winnings.
RTP and House Edge Explained
RTP stands for Return to Player — the percentage of total bets that a game returns to players over the long run. For example, if a slot has an RTP of 95%, there is an average chance of ৳95 coming back for every ৳100 bet — the remaining ৳5 is the house edge.
House edge is the flip side of RTP — on average, how much the casino keeps from each game. This difference is the casino's source of income. RTP and house edge vary across different game types.
Slot games generally have an RTP ranging from 92–98%, skilled blackjack players can see RTP reach close to 99%, and European roulette typically sits around 94–97% RTP. Keep in mind these are long-term averages — any outcome is possible in a single session.
Knowing the RTP helps players make smarter decisions. A higher RTP means a greater chance of getting more back. Also keep volatility in mind — high-volatility games pay out less often but the amounts can be larger; low-volatility games pay out smaller wins more frequently. It is good to consider both factors together.
Typical RTP Ranges by Game Type
These are general industry ranges only — the RTP of a specific game may differ according to the provider's rules.
